Northern people 

Starting in 2000, the Riddu Riđđu festival has focused on indigenous groups in the northern areas through the vignette ‘Northern People of the Year’. By inviting one special indigenous group each year, it has been possible to have a wider presentation through art and cultural expression. The festival’s aim with the Northern People of the Year project is to spread knowledge about other indigenous people in the north.
