Explore the history and culture of the Sea Sami in North Troms. Northern peoples is a digital portal focussing on the Sea Sami cultural heritage. The portal also disseminates knowledge about Kven culture and stories.
Through unique material in the form of text, audio and images, we make these stories accessible and alive for both current and future generations. The portal is developed by Centre for northern peoples to highlight the rich diversity of our shared northern cultural heritage.
We hope that if you have stories, legends, recipes or other content, you will share them, and we also welcome tips on content that should be here.
We hope that this pilot project can be the start of a larger digital initiative involving northern indigenous peoples both nationally and internationally.
