In a more modern version, you can add cinnamon, berries or fruit. The biscuits are great with cheese. Leave the dough to chill for about 2 hours. Roll out and cut out round biscuits. Preheat the oven to 200 degrees centigrade. Bake until golden, about 10-12 minutes. Cool on a wire rack.
