Since 2000, the Riddu Riđđu festival has focussed on indigenous groups in the northern regions through the vignette ‘Northern People of the Year’.
By inviting one specific indigenous group each year, it has been possible to create a broader presentation through art and cultural expressions.
The festival's goal with the Northern People of the Year project is to spread knowledge about other indigenous peoples in the north. Here you will find an overview of the previous Northern People of the Year who have visited Manndalen.
